We believe “Christian” isn’t a word describing a group of people with particular philosophical beliefs. It’s a mission; a calling. We believe in serving Christ through actions, through deeds, rather than through simple attendance in a particular building at a particular time of the week.
“Christian” isn’t a title — it’s a job description. The Christian walk involves multiple elements, coming together in a life dedicated to the Lord.
We believe in the importance of fellowship, as seen in the early Christian church in the book of Acts.
We believe true Christian fellowship is more than just hanging out and talking on Sundays. It’s developing relationships, friendships, accountability partnerships, as we “spur one another on to good works.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
We believe in the importance of worship, of glorifying God through our songs. We worship the Lord with time-honored, traditional church anthems and the best of more modern worship music.
Perhaps most importantly, we believe that the Love of Christ, the Love we are called to embody and portray, is a verb and not a noun.
We believe in love in action, love through service to both the body of believers with whom we fellowship and the world outside our church doors.
Christ showed His love for us by His death on the cross and subsequent resurrection.
